Since the data processed on NFTs tends to be large, it is typically stored on external storage rather than directly on a block. However, the persistence of NFT data depends on the storage method. This is also true for existing distributed storage. For example, data on IPFS hosted by a company depends on the length of time that company exists. Also, if the chain is hard forked, consistency of ownership cannot be guaranteed. This causes serious problems, especially for NFT assets. The Xenea addresses these issues by integrating an EVM-compliant blockchain with autonomous decentralized on-chain storage that guarantees data persistence. To ensure that assets can be inherited for a thousand years, the team took a no-compromise approach to the architecture.
